Location

The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is situated at a prime spot in the Pedregal area of Cabo San Lucas. This hilly location is known for its magnificent views of the ocean and the marina. Over the last 15 years, it has seen steady construction with luxury establishments alongside a quiet, high-end residential area.

Nearby, you can visit fantastic beaches including various small towns which make for a great day trip. There’s the popular Arch rock formation as well.

To reach the Waldorf Astoria, guests can rent a car or have the hotel arrange an SUV pickup for a small fee as soon as they arrive at the Los Cabos International Airport (SJD). It’ll take a 35 to 45-minute drive. From the resort, you can explore the areas like the town of Cabo San Lucas, a short walk away from the hotel’s entrance.

There’s also the marina which is a 10-minute walk away and the Puerto Paraiso Mall which is right in front of the marina area. You can also take a taxi to nearby swimmable beaches like Medano Beach — a 10-minute car ride from the resort.

Room

Perhaps one of the biggest problems guests have when staying at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is picking a room to stay in. With 115 gorgeous rooms spread in 5 different categories, gusts have multiple options to choose from.

However, regardless of which one you get, you can expect a private plunge pool and a balcony or terrace to yourself. Complimentary welcome amenities like a fruit plate, a bottle of beautiful Clase Azule Reposado tequila with daily-replenished refreshments from the minibar are also ever-present.

Nightly turndown service and dedicated concierge service throughout your stay are offered to every guest.

Standard rooms are categorized as just rooms. You have several options with these entry-level spaces starting at the base level which is the Pacific View – King Bed. Don’t be fooled by the “standard room” tag because this 865 square foot space is as lavish as the other premium suites found in other resorts.

You get a personal plunge pool as well as a terrace with partial views of the water. Sliding doors allow lights to come through while creating a seamless space between the indoor and outdoor areas. There’s a fully stocked minibar, a gas fireplace, and an elegant spa-like bathroom filled with Vervan toiletries, a bathtub, a twin vanity, and a private shower.

Suites are the next level category from the regular rooms. You have three options with the suites, starting with the Estrella Suite. This room offers a panoramic view of the ocean including 1,600 square feet of space to house all of the in-room amenities. There’s a beautiful master bedroom with a king bed including a separate living area and dining space.

These rooms are larger compared to previous room categories, going from anywhere between 2,500 square feet to over 4,000 square feet. Aside from having all the amenities of previous categories, this one lets you have an expansive patio, fire, pit, and butler service.

The next three categories are casitas, villas, and private homes

Casitas are composed of two-bedroom and three-bedroom options with a full kitchen and a butler at your disposal. Villas are even grander. While it offers the same two and three-bedroom options, these are designed for larger groups or families traveling together.

Private homes deliver guests a home away from home. Not only are these residences designed for privacy, but they also include all the amenities you need to cater to families or groups.
